I studied arts foundation at Wimbledon School of Art, BA Hons. Ceramics at Bristol Polytechnic and Masters Degree in Ceramics at Cardiff school of Art.

   
    I have had my own studio since 1978 and have exhibited my work in the UK and in Japan, America and Europe  
 
I am a committed educator and have always taught ceramics, starting my career with evening classes in Bristol before teaching at further education level in Bristol, Carmarthen and Preston. From 1990 to 2004 I was senior lecturer on the BA course at the university of Wolverhampton and am now teaching on the BA course at Cardiff School of Art.
   
    I am the co-founder and organiser of The Contemporary Ceramics Fair at Tredegar House, South Wales.  
 

In 2004 I decided to devote all my time to my own work and received a Creative award from the Arts Council of Wales. My work was selected for the National Eisteddfodd in 2004 to much critical acclaim and in 2005 and 2006 I exhibited at SOFA in Chicago with The Gallery at Ruthin Craft Centre where I had a sell-out show.
   
    Since showing my workat SOFA I am now represented by Portals Gallery of Chicago and have work in Xen Gallery, St Louis, Missouri. I will be exhibiting in "Hot Tea" a teapot exhibition at Del Mano Gallery, Los Angeles in 2008.  
 
In 2007 I was involved in curating ceramics exhibitions: "Porcelain Ritual and Process" a touring show for Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre and "Out of the ordinary" for Newport Museum and Art Gallery. "Art Exchange" which will be shown at the Lee Arts Centre in Arlington, Virginia, USA in 2008. I will be organising a show to coincide with the 2008 Ceramics festival at Caylus, France.
